Ubi Director Openly Attacks Sony's Direction
But loves playing with Wii
Director of Ubisoft Montreal, Clint Hocking has registered his distaste with Sony's current strategy of "Me-too" ideas and "Graphics over gameplay". He is speaking in reference to Sony's stealing of the motion sensing controller idea and the Live inspired online interface saying "how much more me-to can Sony be?"
On top of that he attacks the approach of chasing HD graphics when the adoption rate for HDTV's is still far too low and it is pushing the cost of development up by a phenominal amount. He believes that the immersion provided by Wii is the way forward for games and will bring emotions of the games directly to the players in a way like never before.
