An Assortment of DS screens
It just keeps kicking more ass each year
It amazes me how the DS keeps going from strength to strength each E3 it visits. The little handheld is definitely building more and more momentum with great releases that are really starting to realise the potential of the system. The following games are great examples of these, so enjoy a handful of pics designed to make you want to go out and buy a DS Lite.
Yoshi's Island 2

In the sequel to what could be the greatest side scrolling platformer ever, Yoshi returns to aid Baby Mario, joined this time by Baby DK and Baby Peach in a hunt for missing babies around the island. The game will make use of unique abilities when using each character and takes full advantage of the DS hardware to create massive dual screened levels.
Starfox DS

Starfox returns to the DS in a title that looks very similar in style to the unreleased Starfox 2 on the SNES. That game was never released in spite of Miyamoto loving the concept as there was no way to easily fit all the information on screen at once. The game was free roaming and mission based requiring access to a realtime radar/map which looks to be the case in this game. Either way, it's looking nice and I can't wait to play it.
Magical Vacation 2

I was one of the lucky people to import Brownie Brown's first Magical Vacation on the GBA when it was released in Japan. Anyone who has played it will agree that it was a truly beautiful game that should have seen an international release. Thankfully, the sequel on DS has been confirmed outside of Japan and is looking every bit as nice as the original.
Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass

Wind Waker definitely had it's die-hard fans - I'm one and I believe that Joe Mackie is another. This game is the direct sequel to Wind Waker, apparently picking up right where that game left off with Link making use of the DS unique features to solve puzzles and sail the oceans.

We managed to talk about Boom Blox and R-Type Command, however. You can check it all out on this week's Team Fremont Live.
